Culms are square in cross-section. Columnar stature with supple, drooping leaves.  Is great in full or partial shade and makes an impressive single clump.   Often used indoors in a pot or planter.  Will grow in full sun but leaves look better in partial sun or shade.  An absolute must for a Japanese Garden.
