Bambusa textilis

A suptropical genus which is fast-growing and dense but not very cold-hardy in our area. The most attractive and graceful of the Giant Bambusa. It is strongly vertical with a small arching at the culm tips. The internodes are long and branching start quite high. Neater and more compact than oldhamii. Good in a container and in a protected or indoor location.
