If you're one of the many people out there who didn't know that lucky bamboo is not bamboo, it's okay! Its botanical name is Dracaena sanderiana and it comes from the Asparagaceae family. Although it can grow quickly and similarly to our bamboo, it is a completely different species! Lucky bamboo can make for a very meaningful gift for a friend or loved one. It's even easy to take care of! They grow exceptionally in just water, only requiring minimal maintenance. They have even been compared to succulents based on their needs and growth! If you're lucky, you may spot Dracaena sanderiana in our office, but because it's not bamboo, we don't sell it. You'll have far better luck finding it at your local nursery or garden center.
